This is the most popular form of Qi Gong its one We use all the time at the art of healing its begins way back in Ancient China over a Thousand years ago during the Song Dynasty the are 8 postures very simple and easy to use once you have done this a few times its easy to remember it was developed by General Yue Fei he did this to keep his troops healthy most were conscripts from a poor background and were lacking proper nutrition unlike the Officer class who were usually well educated middle class background so after basic training some of the troops could not cope with the demand of Army life so in General Yue Fei he devised this internal exercise to help make them strong and healthy on the inside thus making them become strong on the outside being able to deal with the demanding exercise ,drilling , marching , military training which they did on a daily basis and worked on making their minds strong and ready for battle if needed.

The 8 brocade is very popular among Kung fu ,Tai chi and other Martial Artist this because it makes both their bodies and minds strong and healthy and allows them to deal with tough Kung Fu training regime its especially popular with Shaolin Monks who practised Kung fu on daily basis.
